I second kickboxing. Do it every day, and also spend 20 minutes or so on another aerobic exercise to get your heart going. Walking is good. So is the elliptical machine. I would recommend running, but it is not good for your joints, especially the knees.

Also, a change in diet is necessary if you want to lose weight and have an optimal work out. I would increase lean protein and veggies, drink more water (or if you already drink enough, keep it up…myself, I’m hopelessly addicted to diet coke and have to remember to drink more water).

Also – my old standby is safe, practical, healthy and guaranteed to work: stop consuming white crap, meaning no sugar, flour, salt or dairy. You don’t need any of that to survive, despite what the 1950s textbooks claim.

The hard one for me was cutting out salt, but once you do, you’ll experience much less water retention, especially in the fingers and around the eyes (that’s what causes puffy eye bags). No, you cannot and should not eliminate sodium completely, but we get WAY too much of it. It occurs naturally in real foods, so just eat food without disguising the taste with salt.

Also, eat “real” food, not foods with names you cannot pronounce and 18 different artificial ingredients. This means no junk or fast food, but that crap is for teenagers and obese people, which is not who you are or want to be. This also means none of that supposed “diet” food…those boxes of supposed low-calorie, low-carb, low-fat b.s. are so expensive, don’t taste good, have little to no nutritional value, and they’re just garbage. But then again, like I said, I’m a diet coke addict. It’s my one vice. But I’m working on it!! But I guess I’m not wasting calories or a ton of money, if that’s any consolation – but no, diet soda is not good for anyone and I should drink iced green decaf or something instead!!!

Stay away from breakfast bars or diet shakes or power bars. They’re just like eating a candy bar with a vitamin ground up in it. Not filling. Not food. You might as well just pop a Flinstones and eat a Snickers bar for dinner. It’s idiotic that people think that garbage is good for them.

Hey there, great question and i’m glad I came across it today. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m going to give you some free advice.

Contrary to what you might think, Low Fat Foods DON’T WORK.

You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight.

Anyways, to be honest again, with all the “programs” out there today, many people are getting things mixed up, they are trying MORE than one thing, and NOT sticking to one program, and as a result of this..they’re NOT losing weight…hell, some are GAINING weight because they don’t have the proper guidance..

I’m going to recomend a book, it’s not free, BUT i’ve used it myself and I still DO and I lost fat AND gained muscle……..in fact, after 30 days….well, you get the picture. ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyways, check out this link for more information and PLEASE let me know if you have any questions. ๐Ÿ™‚
